Beautiful Bird Tuesday hosted by Susan Bird. Thank you much my friend. Arabian Ostrich (Struthio camelus) (Extinct)
The Arabian ostrich which is also known as the โCamel birdโ. Basically, this bird inhabited the regions of Middle east several million years ago.
In the Middle East , this bird was widely hunted for its feathers, skin, and eggs.

2 years agoIn addition to that, the large size of this birds makes it very ideal as a dinner choice along with other animals like camels and zebras.
During the early 20th century, the population of Arabian ostrich was greatly reduced as a byproduct of the World War II. Finally, the last Arabian ostrich to be recorded was found in Bahrain in 1941๐ฝ๐

2 years agoAwesome Arabian Ostrich, Anasazi. Awesome coloring! Thank you for sharing the information about this ostrich. The North African ostrich was the most widespread subspecies of ostrich. It formerly had an extensive range but is now thought to live in fragmented pockets in Cameroon, Chad, Central African Republic and Senegal, whilst extinct in most of its range in northern Africa. Reintroduction projects for the ostriches have begun. Thank you for joining the Beautiful Bird Challenge.
