1 year agoDon’t worry @andriavanb I am just surprised that u wrote this much and it was so nice to see ppl with common sense. And sorry I didn’t answer in a while just forgot to check in or sm. And it just surprised me that abortion is basically illegal now is the US. To the majority here in Sweden it’s no doubt that abortion should be legal, and I’m really thankful for that. It’s just scary that guns literally have more rights than a person with a uterussy. Like what if like a 13 yo got r*ped and ⬇️

1 year agoPregnant, is she just supposed to keep the kid?! And what if her and har family aren’t financially stable and can’t take care of the kid she’s now FORCED to give birth to, the kid is gonna en up in the system and just messed up. The world is already overpopulated too. Also, they call themselves “pro life”, and lemme tell ya, they ain’t!! If they where they would take care of the children who’s already suffering. Some wise person on the internet said that they think kids only matter when they’re⬇️

The fact that they’re “rethinking” same-sex marriages is just sick and scary too. “Everybody should have the same rights” can u imagine that some ppl be like, “nah, I don’t think so” like wtf?!?!? And what u said that this reminds u of gent any in the 30s made me really scared, but it may be true, but I hope not. As a European I cinda view USA as a “divided” country or a country with dubbel morals. On one hand the lgbtq’s are fighting and thriving, as with feminists and ppl of ⬇️

1 year agoColor, while on the other side ppl are trying to take away their rights little by little, forcing their religion on ppl and just casually thinking that guns r okay. It feels like the biggest revolutions happen there as well the biggest contrasts. And speaking of guns I got very scared when I heard bout the things in Norway, cus it’s so close to home yk? And I’m sorry had to deal with discrimination from ur own family members. I’m not like “Out Out” yet, so ppl don’t really treat me bad cus of ⬇️

1 year agoMe being lgbt. But the ppl who do know don’t really care, they just treat me the same. I’m not out to my dad yet but he and my mom doesn’t seem to care really if someone is lgbt. They usually say they they don’t care (in terms of getting jobs) if a persons lgbt or of color, the one who deserves the job should get it, no matter their gender or seggsuality. But also remember that you didn’t choose your family, maybe you’d still be friends if u weren’t family, maybe not. Just keep in mind that the⬇️

Yeah, basically the Supreme Court has left abortion rights up to the states to decide. Which means that depending on whether you live in a liberal (pro-choice) state, or a conservative (anti-abortion) state, your location will determine your rights as a woman! Unfortunately, I don't live in a liberal state. So right now where I live, corpses & fetuses have more rights than girls & women! What kind of sense does that make?! And yes, if you're pregnant by r*PE or in*est, you will be forced to go through with the pregnancy. It doesn't matter to them that the planet now has

Or that our country isn't set up for more foster children, there's no infrastructure or adequate funds & support for poor single mothers or overburdened families, or that there's absolutely not any real automatic support for traumatic pregnancies (such as the ones I mentioned above plus those where the pregnancy isn't viable, or it puts the mom's life in danger, or for woman who never wanted to have children) like counseling, support systems, group therapy, etc.

But anyways, just reading all of that made me happy and scared at the same time. Like if they forbid same-sex marriages and relationships I’m wondering the same things as u. Idk bout u but I find it hard to believe that god would just be like “ yeah ya know I talk bout love a lot, but I just don’t like all types of love” tf his son literally had 2 dads! Also some idiots translated a part in the Bible a long time ago to say “it’s not okay for a man to sleep with another man” instead of “it’s not okay for a nan to sleep with a boy”. 1 year agoNot homosexuality. The whole thing just makes me sigh in disappointment and sadness. All of this is a sign that we should throw out the old white men and have ppl under 50 to make laws. And more queer ppl, women ppl of color. It’s important cus now we r letting old white cis-straight men make decisions for women and queer ppl. And the world cinda follow what the us does.
