Thangs are going well. We are looking forward to our trip next month to Greece. It was so hot here today. 109 heat index. Ugh!!! It must be hot in TX too. How are things at your end?

9 months ago@Patricia 🇺🇸 (Pat) What? Greece???? I could not be more envious! If I could go anywhere…that’s where! How long will you be vacationing??? All is well here at Walker Ranch. Hot here, but gettin’ by. We had 108 heat index yesterday as well and today not quite as hot. Think we are at 103 right now, heat index of only 105. Sweater weather, brrrrr!

9 months agoI'm in central N.C. so we've not had it as bad as a lot of people are having it. I just saw your comment to Patricia with your heat index over 100!! My goodness I'm not sure I could even breath in that hot of weather!

9 months agoWe will be gone for 10 days. Spend 2 days in Athens and then board a cruise ship and cruise the Greek Isles. A trip of a lifetime. I can’t wait. 🚢

9 months ago@Sandcastlefor2 🏝Dana Hi again, Dana! I found NC to be plenty hot! Lol Even the 25 yrs ago that I was there visiting my niece at the time. My little town of New Braunfels (15 miles from our ranch) was 107 yesterday and a heat index of 111 but it’s a few degrees cooler away from the “urban jungle.” We’re expected to have about the same for the foreseeable future. Boat ramps are closing at the lake for lack of water. Our creek is dry. It looks like winter with everything brown. And u are right..

9 months ago@Sandcastlefor2 🏝Dana …..it’s hard to breathe air that hot. It truly is like walking into an oven. Our power grid is holding but we’ve been encouraged to turn the thermostats way up to 78 or 80 degrees and keep it only slightly cooler at night. When I get too warm; I just walk outside for about 10 or 15 minutes, IN THE SHADE, where its’ still over 100 and then it feels cool inside again. Lol It basically SUCKS! Lol
