i know this post is a lil early, but i wanted to share some important news with you guys. this morning, my mom and stepdad officially adopted jax, an amazing kid weβve been fostering for about a year and a half. heβs been in the system for a long time, and iβm so glad heβs finally happy. lmk if you have any questions about adoption, iβd love to answer them!

& I actually do have some questions about adoption. When you adopt someone, does the child have to go through foster care with you first?(idk if that makes since lol)

3 years agothe agency we worked with had us foster the kids first. weβve adopted one other kid from the agency and we adopted her after a year of foster care. but we adopted a baby from japan two years ago and we didnβt have to foster first, but it cost money.
