What a gorgeous royal flycatcher! Fabulous coloring, Sandra. The Amazonian royal flycatcher is found in woodlands throughout most of the Amazon basin. They are 6β7 in long and dart out from branches to catch flying insects. They build large nests (up to 6.5 ft long) on branches near water. Males have brilliant scarlet crests, while females have crests that are a stunning yellow with black or blue tips. Thank you for sharing this lovely flycatcher and for joining the Beautiful Bird Challenge.
