Hello, my beautiful friends! Okay, so today is clearly a post dedicated to Pride Month, and boy do I have some things to say. All my life, I’ve lived in a small hillbilly town in a VERY conservative state (not that there is anything wrong with that, just needed to get my point across). In states like such, there are bound to be many people who are homoph0bic, r@cist, and etc.

9 months agoI grew up with kids whose parents taught them that sexual orientation is a choice, and that the only correct form of love is what’s written in the Bible. My parents raised me differently, though. I was taught that who one loves is not a choice. I was taught to treat and see everyone equally, no matter what color their skin is or who their partner is.

9 months agoI am a very religious person (a Christian), but I do not believe that my God views anyone lesser than another because of who they love. He wants us to treat one another equally, to be kind and to not spread anymore hurt in this world that already deals countless forms of it. The Bible, in many cases, is used as a weapon. It is not. I’m sorry if anyone has ever used it against you as one.

9 months agoEven to the folks out there who are not religious or do not share the same religion as me, the message I’m trying to get across is that LOVE IS LOVE!!! It’s not a choice, it just happens. We were born to love and to be loved, so love everyone despite what you may view as their differences, and instead view those differences as unique qualities.

9 months agoBe kind, stay true to who you are, and never disrespect someone for something they can not control. Let’s not repeat history and make the same mistakes we used to, but rather make our own history, one where future generations can appreciate and admire all that we have done. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but you are valid, your feelings are valid, and nothing is wrong with you. You are perfect just the way you are, and I, along with several others, love you. ❤️
