My favorite movie as a little girl was “Wizard of Oz” & I loved Dorthy & her singing admiring Judy Garland (originally born Frances Ethel Gumm 6/10/1922-6/22/1969). The movie played only 1x/year on 1 of the only 6 channels we had …haha, times have changed! Thank you for your comments❣️🤗

1 year agoBeautiful. Your details are wonderful. Love this movie as well. I did a homage to OZ on another template a few weeks ago as a walk down memory lane - I can relate to the limited TV channels as well. Ha ha.

1 year agoShe had a tough time. Shirley temple was all set to play the role of Dorothy, but Judy’s mom knew someone….. so even though she was too old for the part, she got it. Then she was put on diet pills because she was filling out.

1 year ago@Dee Van oh I know, wasn’t that awful & I heard that she was tightly wrapped up to flatten her boobs too to the point she could barely breathe & then the diet pills you meant ikon kept her awake do they gave her sleeping pills for nighttime…I felt so bad for her after seeing a documentary on her life, very sad & tragic. She was so talented!
