"Litha"
Litha is the battle between the Holly King and the Oak King. During Litha or Midsummer, the Holly king regains his power. Tomorrow the days start to shorten bit by bit and the harvest will soon transpire as we prepare for the darkness.
On Yule, the Oak King will battle once more for his power and the darkest day will give way to lighter days.

@β’ strawberry girl β’ It's not the reason ... there is a scientific reason which involves earth's axis and such. "Litha" is part of the Pagan religion. Stories woven over time as a nod to the fact that all living things are connected and equally important. We are one with nature. Our bodies mimic nature with rivers of blood, roots of muscles and nerves.
I am a Polytheist. My love of Paganism is in that there no hate or demand to worship false idols. I believe in all the prophets and their lessons. Pagans are not evil or Satanic .... quite the opposite.
