β‘ Hello ~βͺ this is gonna be quite a long post from me today and the info is somewhat important as I'm changing how I'll be approaching this account.

9 months agoβ‘ So, I noticed it's been.. 'a little while'.. since I last posted anything. That wasn't my plan, but I got very caught up in other stuff. The two main things were exams IRL and being promoted to moderator for CubeCraft games. Now exams are over, I have a little more time, so I'm going to try posting a bit here again :D

It is my second account, and was created after I stupidly forgot the details to my older one and couldn't just stay logged in as I got a new phone :c HOWEVER, it has reached the point where I want to spend ages making ever post as perfect as possible and attempt more detailed posts on here and I don't feel like I can just post anything which I'd see as 'low-effort'. As an example, I spent an hour going over every one of those tiny white dots so they stood out --

9 months ago-- like I wanted. π¬ It became discouraging seeing so many people leave. As context for any newer users, it used to be possible to get 1000+ likes on a single post and my older account, 'Forgotten Melody', used to average more than 500 likes on posts. Nowadays, with the number of users, 200 is amazing! Likes are not something that should be used to determine how 'good' a post is, as it is easy to inflate that number by simply liking lots of others' posts. Therefore, I wanted to do something --

β‘ For that reason, I've decided to keep this account as somewhere I'll still post, but only occasionally, and to create a new alt account where I can just post easier, quicker posts frequently!!! :))

9 months agoHi , I have read your long post and I agree that RC not the same as it use to be. I have been with RC over 5 years ( March 2018 ) and seen a lot of people come and go on here. There for awhile I was even getting over 300 likes and a couple over 400 with my average being between 250 to 280. This past year I have seen an significant drop in my likes as will as the same for some of the others on here.

9 months agoI have nearly quit a couple times because of this, thinking Iβm lacking and not good enough. But I decided to push through it. I now do challenges on weekends to help not necessarily with my likes, but to encourage myself to keep coloring. Yes I do think with so many leaving, cause the drop in our likes but I also know that there are some that take advantage of the system by trying to give certain users bad feedback.

9 months agoLove this! Great to see you back! Congratulations on your promotion, thatβs exciting and sounds like a fun job. Great message as well, I agree that likes sounding be used to define someoneβs talent. Appreciate you taking to time to write all that, I canβt wait to see your other art!
