I’m sorry about my last post. I will try to explain my situation. In 1985 my car was struck by a drunk driver and it hit right where my daughter Becky was sitting. She sustained so much brain damage from this. Because Michigan was a NO FAULT insurance state, cont.

2 years agoMy insurance company paid for everything for her. I had a lawyer and we settled in court for all her medical stuff etc, plus I was to receive a certain dollar amount for taking care of her and I could hire nurses too. First of all I must explain that Becky is cognitive but most of her damage is in her brain stem, so the messages can’t get from her brain to her body, therefore she can’t talk, walk, wears briefs, has a Gtube in her stomach for formula and in 2015 went on a ventilator for good.

2 years agoA NEW LAW WENT into effect on July 1st, 2021 that trumps everything that they were giving us. I DO HAVE A CONSENT JUDGMENT from the court but the new law makes it invalid. So basically now they only have to pay 55% of what Medicare would pay. My current nurses can’t live on that salary. And truthfully my pay from them about a 1/4 of what they were paying me to take care of my daughter. THIS IS WHY I AM UPSET, ADD TO THAT MY OTHER DAUGHTER MEGHANN DIED LAST SUMMER AND I REALLY DONT SEE ANY LIGHT

2 years agoNow, I just want you to know Becky is my angel girl, and I went through so much to accept the loss of my normal girl. But I love her with all my heart. And I am still grieving the loss of my other daughter. I love my Recolor family so I wanted to let you know . I know somehow I will get through this. I always do.🥲😘❌⭕️💔💔💔💔💔

Am surprised that a new law would supersede a court judgement that had been in effect for many years and was issued under the law in effect at the time the judgement was rendered.

2 years agoMarvelous! So sorry to hear what you’re going through! I also can’t believe they took your settlement away! They should see the people who are receiving these settlements and see what they’re going through before they remove their lifelines. Keeping you and your daughter in my prayers! 2 years agoWhat a beautiful picture and so well coloured, I am sorry about your daughters and I feel for you but you must be strong for your daughter, the law can be very unjust and it usually affects the people who need it the most but your Recolor family will always be there to help so stay strong and safe and hope things work out for the future..hugs🤗🌻🌻what are your favourite pictures as I would like to color one for you and your daughter just let me know 🌻🌻
