1 year ago@photobert Heeeey, photo-b!!! You are too kind using that “spectacular” word, lol! But happy if ya like it! Gentry and I did the same thing when the weather warmed up to about 50 when we went to lunch, didn’t even grab a sweater. Today, it’s been in the 70s, so 50 would feel quite chilly again. About the trees, they are still laying out there in my backyard. I did manage to cut away some limbs that had fallen on a Spanish Oak which came up volunteer years ago and is now about 5-6 ft tall.

1 year ago@photobert It promptly snapped back, upright but will need to be staked to get it straight again. Our river front is totally trashed. My brother-in-law and nephew have worked all week clearing and burning while the burn ban is off. I haven’t been down to the river to see it but not sure I want to given how much I am seeing go to the burn pile. It’s a massive amount and our acreage there is large, maybe 20 - 30 acres down there. I bet it is a mess on our far back 14 acres, 500 acres total.

1 year ago@photobert We’ll probably never even see most of what collapsed under the ice as a good bit of our ranch is beyond a fence line which goes uphill, steeply, much of it on bedrock, a difficult drive up there into hills. Our only personal vehicle up there is an ATV, others on the ranch have Polarises or Jeeps. I use to walk back there in the 70s and 80s but mountain lions have returned and I just walk to the river now and only at certain times. Wild here!
