So I kinda switched up the order of stuff in my intro; what do you guys think about it? I really like how this turned out, honestly!

1 year ago.• 🍓 •. Now it’s story time!! .• 🍓 •.
Today’s story is about a guy named Xander who was in most of my classes last school year, including Honors English, so he’s (normally) a pretty smart kid. Now that I’ve established he’s not an idiot, I’ll tell the story.
For me, the weather has been super unusual this year, and I don’t just mean this hot summer. There was snow in the middle of April, and typically, we don’t get snow after February. This particular morning in mid-April, there was about

1 year agothree inches of snow on the ground ~ which, believe me, is a lot for my area ~ and, as we sat in first period Honors English, the snow showed no signs of stopping. Thick flakes were drifting past the second-story window, snowflakes as big as quarters.
Once the teacher gave up on teaching, Xander started telling us about how he had brought a sled, one of those silver, round, metal ones, to school planning to go sledding down the stadium stairs that morning before school. But he, apparently,

1 year agodecided not to go sledding for two reasons: first, he was SURPRISED that it was cold outside (this kid omg 🙄) and second, he didn’t want to get his clothes wet~ and both of those problems would’ve have been problems if he had simply USED HIS BRAIN and PLANNED AHEAD by bringing a winter jacket or a hat or a scarf or a change of clothes. But no, guys, honors kids don’t know how to be logical.
His new plan was to go sledding after school, even though literally ALL of the weather reports said the

1 year agosnow would be melted by the time school got out seven hours later, at three. We told him that, but did he listen? Nope.
Fast-forward to fifth period (the last one of the day) and this genius is looking out the window genuinely DISAPPOINTED that all the snow had melted. Because honors kids also can’t read weather reports or trust their peers, obviously.
AND on top of that, one of his friends, who had P.E. first period, had taken the sled out of his truck, went sledding, and then left the sled

Anyway, I can never pass up an opportunity to make fun of Xander, so I decided to tell y’all the story for this week’s story. That, and it was so hot today I was hoping thinking about snow would make the heat more bearable. It didn’t.
A little side note: that same day, every single stop sign in the multiple parking lots at the high school were hit 💀😭

Also as an honors kid I can confirm that sometimes really simple things can be hard to understand for some reason. Like I genuinely do some really idiotic things 😂😭🥲
