Yvon Chouinard, founder of the successful outdoor outfitter company Patagonia, his wife and two adult children have transferred their ownership of Patagonia, valued at about $3 billion, to a specially designed trust and a nonprofit organization. They were created to preserve the company’s independence and ensure that all of its profits — some $100 million a year — are used to combat climate change and protect undeveloped land around the globe.

1 year ago“Patagonia” is also a you tube channel containing incredible environmental films that will definitely broaden one’s perspective, often revealing what those most responsible would obviously prefer to keep well hidden. I’ve watched several of them. I was in awe of the magnificent beauty of nature. Some of the films left me shocked, saddened & angered at the selfishness & destruction. If you get a chance to view them, I recommend highly.
