Dear Friends, I was a victim of senseless violence. I walked to a neighborhood store and when I came out I was asked for money. I gave what I had which was a little over two dollars and went on my way. The man who I gave money to followed me hurling comments about the amount of money and about how women need a man. I walked faster heading to my street. I turned to see him pulling something out of his jacket, I thought it was a gun and began to run, I believe he then lunged at me pushing me down!

1 year agoI lost consciousness only to wake up in an ambulance as they were taking me to the hospital. My injuries were a concussion two black eyes, two lost teeth and various other injuries including a shattered bone in my right hand and busted veins in my other hand. I am alive, albeit sore😊 The man got away and I do not remember what he looked like. I don’t believe that I could have done anything that could have stopped this attack , he is deeply disturbed and mentally ill. I won’t allow this to

I wanted to tell you all why I haven’t been around and to thank you for taking me in. You have all treated me with such kindness and encouragement and can’t begin to tell you how much you mean to me! 1 year agoI am truly sorry that you had to deal with that. The fact that he h4rrased you by saying that he needed money and then later b34ts you up pretty much while you're unconscious and then you end up in the hospital is awful. I am very glad you're still alive first off, and that God protected you! And the fact that you're still continuing to spread positivity is amazing! I'm so sorry that happened but I'm glad you're here and you let us know! That is amazing and kind of you! We love and support you

I was so worried about you because I hadn't heard back from you in a while, & I noticed there hadn't been any activity on your account in nearly two weeks, & then I got seriously worried. I thought maybe you were ill or something... I'm really shocked by what happened to you, & very sad that you went thru such a scary experience. Are you still in hospital or are you in rehab recovering or at home yet? You're very brave & hats off to you for not letting

1 year ago@andriavanb I am home and safe! I have an appointment for the implants this week so I will have my teef back 😊 They already did surgery on both hands, my right one was tricky because tiny bone fragments were floating around so they blew it up with water and flushed them out. That sounds crazy as I say it but it is how they explained it. The other hand was like they went in and cut the vessels , they said it will just grow back properly. I have an air cast on my right hand, yep the one I use lol

1 year ago@andriavanb and a bandage on the other one. I have stitches in my head but they disappear so I don’t have to have them removed. I just look horrible, far worse than I feel at this point 😊 You mean a lot to me too, I had to reach out to let you know and to let others know that I am still here, just a little slower if that’s even possible! I actually did that picture a while ago, she just wasn’t quite right ☺️

1 year agoOh my goodness what a horrible thing to have endured. But I agree that it most likely someone down on their luck - in need of drugs food shelter and likely meds. It doesn’t lesson the beating you took. Our nation has thrown these people out like garbage and unfortunately we are the ones who must somehow pick up the pieces and try to help them.
